The Quetzel Story

The Ned in the City of London, where the Quetzel team often works

Our journey

Quetzel was born out of a desire to do things differently. Our founder, James Connors, spent years working for some of the biggest names in the tech industry — billion-dollar, NYSE-listed technology giants.

In 2022, he left the corporate world to create Quetzel, a company built to simplify technology sourcing and help businesses thrive through innovation. Today, you’ll often find us working from The Ned, a vibrant hub that reflects our commitment to fresh thinking and new ideas.

With over 30 years of industry experience, we’ve grown into a trusted technology partner, working alongside organisations to guide them through digital transformations. We pride ourselves on providing expert advice and tailored solutions that meet each client’s unique needs. Our extensive network of over 350 trusted vendors means we can offer best-in-class technologies designed to help business scale, secure and optimise their operations. See the sectors we work in →

In May 2025, we proudly picked up AVANT’s Trusted Advisor of the Year award, a huge moment for our team and a reflection of the partnerships we’ve built with our clients. It recognises the care, insight, and dedication we bring to every project, and we’re just getting started.

In 2026, James co-founded the London Contact Centre Forum with Jane Thomas of the Contact Centre Forum network, giving London’s contact centre leaders a year-round home of their own.

What the London Contact Centre Forum is

The London Contact Centre Forum (LCCF) is a year-round forum for the senior people who run customer operations, CX, technology and transformation across London and the South East, and for the suppliers who want to reach them.

It was co-founded in 2026 by James Connors, founder of Quetzel, and Jane Thomas, founder of the Contact Centre Forum network. Contact Centre Forum already had a home in the South West, the North and Scotland. Now London does too, with a launch at Zoom’s London headquarters on 1 October 2026.

The idea is simple: a room of peers facing the same problems, and time to talk them through properly.

What we stand for

Our values

Independent by design

We’re paid on the same basis whichever provider you choose, so the only thing we’re selling is good advice.

Plain speaking

No jargon and no hype. If something isn’t worth changing, we’ll say so, even when that means less work for us.

Still here after go-live

We stay involved through deployment, adoption and support, not just until the contract is signed.

The team

Meet the people you’ll work with

No junior account managers. Every client works directly with people who’ve spent years on the supplier side.

James Connors, Founder and Director, Quetzel

James Connors

Founder and Director

James founded Quetzel in 2022 after more than a decade selling business technology from the supplier side, including enterprise roles at Daisy, 8x8 and Talkdesk. He understands how vendors price and pitch, and uses that to get clients a fair deal. He co-founded the London Contact Centre Forum in 2026.

Harry Gower, Director, Quetzel

Harry Gower

Director

Harry spent 18 years at Charterhouse, going from telecoms engineer to account director, so he reads a technical proposal as closely as the commercials. He joined Quetzel as a Director in 2025 and is Technology Practice Director at the London Contact Centre Forum.

Abbie Bowtell, Operations Director, Quetzel

Abbie Bowtell

Operations Director

Abbie spent ten years at Goldman Sachs in London and Dubai, then ran operations at venture capital firm 20VC. She joined Quetzel as Operations Director in 2024 and brings a banker’s discipline to how we plan, track and report on client work.
